every piece begins with an emotion rather than an image.
sometimes that emotion grows out of an experience or a thought i’ve carried with me for years. sometimes it comes from a novel, a piece of music, a smell, a conversation, or a fleeting moment that refuses to leave me. the trigger can be almost anything.
i’m fascinated by small things that seem to hold more meaning than they should. occasionally it’s even just a name i come across that creates an inexplicable pull. i rarely understand those feelings immediately.
painting is my way of staying with them. not necessarily to explain them, but to give them the attention they seem to ask for. some fascinations become clearer over time, but many never do. either way, creating art is my way of honouring them. it’s a way of acknowledging that these quiet moments of wonder, curiosity and emotional pull are among the things that make life feel most meaningful to me.
most of my work begins as pre-designed compositions.
i continuously create paintings and tattoo concepts based on themes and ideas i’m exploring in my own work. those pieces are the foundation of my practice, and they are always my priority.
i occasionally take on custom commissions when an idea genuinely resonates with me, but they are the exception rather than the rule. if you have something personal in mind, you’re always welcome to reach out. if the project feels like a natural fit, i’d be happy to explore it together.
yes. every tattoo exists only once. whether you choose one of my pre-designed compositions or commission a custom piece, it is created for a single collector and will never be tattooed again.
you’ll receive your design before your appointment, giving us plenty of time to discuss it and make any adjustments if needed.
i prefer separating the design process from the appointment. it allows us to refine the composition without time pressure, so by the time we meet in the studio, we can focus entirely on bringing the final piece to life.
my abstract compositions age exceptionally well. as they settle naturally into the skin, they become even more harmonious and visually compelling over time.
if you’re interested in one of my pre-designed pieces, an appointment is usually possible within just a few weeks, depending on the scope of the project.
the current waiting time for custom projects is usually around six months. once your design is complete and approved, we’ll schedule your appointment at the next suitable opportunity.
if you’re travelling from abroad or need to plan further in advance, simply let me know. i’m happy to arrange the timeline accordingly.
